FRIEDENSDORF INTERNATIONAL (PEACE VILLAGE)

FRIEDENSDORF INTERNATIONAL, also known as PEACE VILLAGE in English, is an organization that takes care of wounded children from war zones all over the world. It was established in 1967 in Oberhausen, Germany. The majority of the children are from Afghanistan, Armenia, Romania, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Angola, Georgia, etc. They bring about 300 children to Europe; half of them receive medical care at European hospitals, and the other half are in rehabilitation programs, including recreation at the FRIEDENSDORF. Children who are six months to fourteen years old are allowed in this program. They have helped 1,000 children per year.
